How-To . . . create an .ePub
To upload a KnowBit, you need to create a version of your document in .ePub file format. The simplest way is to use Google Docs or Apple Pages. Details are below.

⇨ CREATING A THUMBNAIL: The other key to creating an engaging KnowBit is to have a thumbnail that draws readers in. Think of this as the ‘album cover’ for your KnowBit. Include your name and title of the KnowBit. There are many ways to create that thumbnail, it can be as simple as creating a cover in your preferred text or image editor and uploading a screenshot. A quick search will show you many thumbnail ‘how-to’ and tutorials - check them out.
The app has been tested extensively on Google Chrome and Safari. At this time we recommend you use these browsers. We are continuing to develop and improve functionality on iOS devices (iPhone and iPad) android phones, as well as other browser platforms.
NOTE: The app is NOT YET AVAILABLE IN the Google PlayStore or Apple AppStore.
Make sure you are running the most current version of Google Chrome or Safari to enjoy the full functionality.

Open a new browser tab (Chrome or Safari recommended).
Open your GoogleDocs file and make any necessary edits.
When you are ready:Select “File” at top left. In the dropdown, select “Download”
Select “EPUB Publication (.epub)”
Follow the prompts on your device to save the new file.
Use the “Uplaod KnowBit” option at: https://app.mylibrary.world/app/tabs/know-bitz to share your KnowBit.

Open Apple Pages on your device.
Open your file and make any necessary edits.
When you are ready:Select “File” at top left. In the dropdown, select “Export To”
Select “EPUB …”
Follow the prompts on your device to save the new file.
Use the “Uplaod KnowBit” option at: https://app.mylibrary.world/app/tabs/know-bitz to share your KnowBit.

Unfortunately, there is no direct way to create .ePub files from in Microsoft Word at this time. The easiest way to create .ePub files from a .docx (MS Word) file is to open it in Google Docs (or Apple Pages) and follow the steps outlined above. There are, however, a variety of software options that offer great flexibility in creating .ePub files - including free options. Two of our favorites are listed below.
